Lacrosse Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Garth Elliss to the position of Executive Director of the 2009 Lacrosse Australia Development Team.
The team will compete in the Asia Pacific Lacrosse Tournament, which will be held in the city of Suwon, Korea in June this year.
Garth’s appointment follows a series of advertising and interview stages Lacrosse Australia conducts for its teams to compete in these and other international events.
The position is viewed as one of the most important in setting up and administering the coaching and management required to prepare a young developing group of aspiring Australian team representatives for the future.

Players who applied last year need to contact Garth Elliss immediately:
Persons interested in coaching and management roles on the team also need to contact Garth as a matter of urgency.

Due to the shoddy weather that keeps flying by today, we have cancelled the games for the 28th of September.

Games will be as advertised on the rosters for next week.

Hey all, I hope you have enjoyed your break.
Now that we are moving out of the coldness of winter, I'd like to announce the dates for our next roster:
(Next sunday) 31st of August through to the 12th October (7 weeks).
Match times will be 5:45 and 6:45pm each week- no horrid late matches.

Costs will be $60 for returning players (who played in the may-july roster), and $140 for people who didn't register last time.
We will put up the rosters on the website soon for you.

I would also like to announce that we are in the process of organising a NSW mens team coming down for the weekend stating 17th October, much in the style of last year. This year we are also considering getting a womens team down for the same weekend, so please let us know if you are keen to play or help out with organising/training.

Just an update;

Instead of the previously announced drinks-after-the-finals plan, I'd like to advise everybody that the plan is now to go out to the hockey centre next week (ie the 20th) and have a meal.

Mains are in the $15-20 range, with (obviously) the bar being open.
Please contact your team captain to let them know if you are coming. I'll make a booking tuesday or wednesday next week.

Doing a dinner instead of drinks is more favourable because its more sociable for everybody, not too late, and (maybe the best reason) nobody will be all smelly. =)
