Welcome to the official site of Tasmania Lacrosse. Here you will find all the latest news and upcoming events we have to divulge, including rosters, scores and statistics. We will also post game cancellations here first- so if its a bit soggy from the rain last night, log on and find out. It's either that, or ring your team captain, but who does that? ;)

Expression of interest - Mens lacrosse

There is an opportunity for NSW to come down later this year for Men's contact and play off for the Brent D'Alton Cup. Should the opportunity arise, we'll need to organise things soon. If you are interested in playing in this, please post on the Tasmania Lacrosse wall, or message/contact Damien Peck or Duncan Oliver.

This season, Lacrosse Tasmania is branding a new version of lacrosse - Chumash. Chumash is based on teams of up to 5 with 4 on the field. The season will run from May to July.

Time of the games are run as 3x 12 minute periods with 2 minute changeovers and 1 timeout permitted for 60 seconds. Stick checking is allowed, body contact is not. There are no set positions in the game, as well as no goalie.

Tasmania Lacrosse Futures Meeting

To the members of Lacrosse Tasmania,

Lacrosse Tasmania is in a situation where it may fold. As a current or former player, coach, umpire, committee member, assistant, volunteer or other position, we ask that you attend the Tasmania Lacrosse public meeting for the safety and future of the Association.

For the time that you are/were a part of Lacrosse Tasmania, someone has been organising things behind the scenes. It’s time for you to give back to the sport that may have given you so much.

Lacrosse Tasmania has a long and proud history of lacrosse dating back to the late 19th Century. There’s too much passion in the association to let it die.

What: Tasmania Lacrosse Futures Meeting
When: Thursday 15th April, 6.30pm
Where: Hotel SoHo function room, South Hobart

At this meeting, the current Lacrosse Tasmania committee will show you the direction of the association with your guidance. Yearly goals, plus future goals will be shown and you can be a part of that. This includes mens, womens, juniors, mixed rosters and state teams for the coming years.
